CAST
Rohan Mitta - Joseph K
Rohan is studying for a Masters in Mathematics and Foundations of Computer Science. He has loved getting involved in all sorts of theatre for the last 10 years, from his debut performance as Baloo in The Jungle Book through to Garcin in No Exit and even Beowulf. He confesses that his favourite role was, however, as a dancing robot. He is thrilled that the situation has improved enough to get onstage at Oxford and, enjoying the way so much is left up to interpretation in this play, looks forward leading the audience into the increasingly absurd world that Joseph K finds himself in.
Eve caston - Gabriel Clarke
Eve is a 2nd year music student. Her dramatic career began at the age of 6 when, after being given no lines in the school nativity, she made herself projectile vomit all over the stage on opening night as an act of defiance. Nowadays, she attempts to be less of an attention seeker, working backstage on productions such as L’elisir d’amore and helping to design sets for university plays. Eve is excited to return to the stage as part of Joseph K’s cast, relating to her character- Gabriel Clarke- in his love of gossip and general cluelessness of how the world works.
Dillon SOmia - NATHAN
Dillon is a second year PPEist from Birmingham. His acting experience ranges from a tree in a year 5 production to a Dalek in year 3. As a PPEist, he revels in the character of Nathan being a bit of overbearing sod who needs to mind his own business. When he is not busy (not) learning his lines, he can be found rewatching Hamilton for the 84th time. He is truly “another immigrant coming up from the bottom”.
BETH FITZPATRICK - WENDY
Fitz is a first year music undergraduate based in London. This is her first in-person drama production at Oxford, having been a part of the radio play Magic: A Fantastic Comedy (now available on Youtube!) in Hilary Term. Before Oxford, she was involved in musicals such as Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat and Guys and Dolls, either in the pit as a violinist or onstage as an overly-enthusiastic ensemble member. She has really enjoyed delving into the character of Wendy as, due to the unstable reality of the play, Wendy could either be a simple hard-working member of society or as a manipulator hungry for power - whichever it is, Fitz attempts to combine both - does it work? You be the judge!
NOAH Radcliffe-ADAMS - DAN / ADAM
Noah is in his first year reading Music. This is his first production since becoming a student at Oxford; the first of many, he hopes. He plays two roles: Adam, the domineering elder brother of Joseph K, and Dan, the office bore, far too distracted by his own inflated ego to be of any real help to anyone. Despite Adam’s initially sardonic and antagonistic treatment of Joseph, he loves his brother greatly. Noah enjoys unravelling this complex dynamic as the protagonist grows increasingly paranoid throughout the play.
ISOBEL LEWIS - ROSE
Isobel is a first year History and English student. She comes to acting only recently, having been put off the stage (literally, by her teacher) at the tender age of four after expressing her outrage at being made a shepherd instead of an angel in the school nativity play. Isobel is worried she feels a little too at home playing Rose, a particularly baffled character who always manages to say the wrong thing.
JODIE TYLER - LENI
Jodie is studying Spanish in her first year. As a dancer she has mainly been involved in musical theatre in the past but she has enjoyed the shift of focus onto acting and particularly interpreting Leni’s genuine ignorance and melodrama. The most interesting part has been the process of stylisation (to align with covid) that hopefully makes the awkward nature of her and Joseph K’s scene even more comical than it might have ordinarily been!
LUCA WILLIAMS - IAN HULD
Luca is a second year Philosophy and Theology undergraduate. He has performed in numerous productions before, including The King and I, Into the Woods and Hamlet. He finds the play particularly pertinent in the way that it dislocates an Oxford audience and causes one to question the received wisdom on what is valuable and worth working towards.
Natalie Hytiroglou - MORTON PREECE
Natalie is a first year History of Art student. She has been in several plays at school, starting out as one of the von Trapp children in the Sound of Music and playing the role of the “little but fierce” Hermia in her last school production of a Midsummer Night’s Dream. Natalie feels quite sorry for her character Morton Preece, who is the most boring man alive. All he wants is to get his appraisal done and no one will do it for him! Other than that she is excited to make things as awkward as possible between the characters of Joseph K and Wendy.
HANA AHMED - LEO / DAVID
Hana is a first year medic. She has done a few productions at school, such as the iconic 'Bossy Fairy' in year 2. She absolutely loves the characters she plays - one spends most of the scene running around with the same chaotic energy she has been channeling herself this term!

(hana also designed and made the stash for the show!)
Maddie West-Nelson - YVETTE
Maddie is a first year law student from London. She started acting aged 8 as Blousey Brown in a production of Bugsy Malone and has been acting ever since. She loves Yvette’s authoritative but sometimes overly high-strung nature and is quietly enjoying being able to order around Rohan and Hana in their scene together.
The show also features the voices of: Eve Caston - as Annabelle Dillon Somia - as Marcus Wetherby-Reed Heather Piere - as Susie
